Renting a home in Hull

Renting a home can sometimes be a complicated, sometimes even frustrating experience, particularly if you are unsure of the process. To help make the experience as straightforward as possible for you, we have outlined the key stages:

To find you an ideal property, we need to know as much as possible about your requirements as possible, although we know that things change, so you can amend your requirements as your search continues. In the first instance we will need to know the following:

  • Your rental budget
  • The date by which you need to move
  • The type of property you would like
  • The number of bedrooms you will need
  • Do you need parking? If so for how many vehicles?
  • How many occupiers will be living at the property
  • The length of time for which you are thinking of renting
  • Whether you have any specific requirements, such as pets, smoking.

You can let us know all about your requirements by registering online, by phone or by visiting us where a member of staff can assist you.  With a clear understanding of your requirements, we will then be able to access all properties that match your criteria. When you have registered, details of the properties we have available can be sent to you by SMS or email.  We advise you to also check on our social media platforms, where you will see new instructions as they come to market.

Rental property moves fast so make sure you are registered!

Viewings can be conducted 9 am – 5 pm Monday to Friday and 9 am – 1 pm on Saturdays. You can book a viewing by email or phone Monday to Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm and Saturday 9.00 am – 12.00 pm.

We usually accompany and conduct all property viewings and the Landlord will not always be present. In some cases, a Landlord may give us specific times for viewings, although we do ask them to be as flexible as possible. We normally keep keys and can generally access properties to suit your availability.  To save time in the long run, you should try to ensure that anyone likely to share in the decision views the property as well.

After you have finished your viewing or multiple property viewings, we need to know if you have any questions or if you are interested in renting the property. Please allow time to discuss your thoughts with us so that we can give genuine feedback to the landlord, and can move on to other interested parties, if the property or properties are not for you.  The more information you can give us, the easier it will be for us to find you the perfect home next time.

Please be on time for viewings. We will arrange to meet you at the property, or if it is more convenient, at our office from where we can drive you. Sometimes we can collect you from your home or your place of work, depending on where this is, please feel free to ask us.  We do understand that sometimes things crop up and you are not able to make it to your viewing appointment or appointments, but please let us know as soon as possible to save wasted time.  CALL:  01482 226560
